I am poem

Shallow Heart(I am poem)

I am the depth in a shallow heart.

I wonder if a beam of light will ever brighten me.

I see total and complete darkness even with my eyes open.

I want to know if i will ever scape this place.

I am the depth in a shallow heart

I pretend that everything will be fine and soon i will be gone.

I feel it shatter everytime she hears your name.

I touch her tears while they roll down her face.

I worry that my hope will b gone.

I cry with the though of losing.

I am the depth in a shallow heart

I understand why im here.

I say this will be over quick.

I dream of me leaving and and something better taking my place.

I try to make the best of everything.

I hope this wont take to long.

I am depth in a shallow heart.

Thank You Letter

Dear,

Captain Wesley Fox L.

I am Jorge Garcia. I go to Farragut Carrer Academy in a program called JROTC it is a millitary program. I am currently a corporal. This is a thank you letter to you for your bravery and dedication to your nation and your conpanions. You have inspired me with your actions. You were wounded severly and you took no medical help and kept going untill the enemy retreated and you won. Thats something that took a lot of courage and selfesness to do. You were an inspiration to your men and that helped them to overcome the enemy. You have helped the nation because you have saved the lifes on husbans, brothers, and fathers, you have also showned that determination pays off and that you can achieve your goals. I wish that u can get all the recognition you deserve. I also wish that you can be healthy for the rest of your life. Again thank you for your bravery, courage, and for being such a great person.

Sincerely
Garcia Jorge

FOX, WESLEY L.

Rank and organization: Captain, U.S. Marine Corps, Company A, 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division

Place and date: Quang Tri Province, Republic of Vietnam, 22 February 1969

Entered service at: Leesburg, Virginia

Born: 30 September 1931, Herndon, Virginia

Citation:

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while serving as commanding officer of Company A, in action against the enemy in the northern A Shau Valley. Capt. (then 1st Lt.) Fox's company came under intense fire from a large well concealed enemy force. Capt. Fox maneuvered to a position from which he could assess the situation and confer with his platoon leaders. As they departed to execute the plan he had devised, the enemy attacked and Capt. Fox was wounded along with all of the other members of the command group, except the executive officer. Capt. Fox continued to direct the activity of his company. Advancing through heavy enemy fire, he personally neutralized 1 enemy position and calmly ordered an assault against the hostile emplacements. He then moved through the hazardous area coordinating aircraft support with the activities of his men. When his executive officer was mortally wounded, Capt. Fox reorganized the company and directed the fire of his men as they hurled grenades against the enemy and drove the hostile forces into retreat. Wounded again in the final assault, Capt. Fox refused medical attention, established a defensive posture, and supervised the preparation of casualties for medical evacuation. His indomitable courage, inspiring initiative, and unwavering devotion to duty in the face of grave personal danger inspired his marines to such aggressive action that they overcame all enemy resistance and destroyed a large bunker complex. Capt. Fox's heroic actions reflect great credit upon himself and the Marine Corps, and uphold the highest traditions of the U.S. Naval Service.

Qoute from "I have a dream"

Quote "Transformed into a situation where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers." By Martin Luther King Jr. speach I have a dream.

When Martin Luther King Jr. said this in his speach the people that he was speaking to claped and they claped because they undestood what he ment that when they get all the rights they deserve than they would be in better terms with every one they wouldn't have avy of the sagragation and racism. They would all be ok with each other.

What i think about this qoute is that he was right that the day when people stop sagragation will come and that we should all be doing something about it. If we all help to stop this racism than we would all be able to live together in peace and noone would be sacred because other people say and we would all have equal rights there wont be any problem and we could do as MLK said we can hold hands no matter what the color of your skin is.

This is my mirror poem to the poem "A dream deferred"
My Poem
What happens to a forgotten dream?
Does it melt up
like an ice cream on the floor?
Or crack open like an iceburg
And then fall?
Doest it smell like rotten eggs?
Or sweet
like chocolate
Maybe it stinks
like a diaper
Or does it destroy
